2.1 presentation of the project of the new airport of Marrakech in Side Jezza (NAMSZ) The Moroccan airport systemAirport network that covers the entire country, is made up of 25 platforms including 19 open to public air traffic international. This network can be classified into three categories on the basis of the role of each airport: 1 Hub of Casablanca Mohammed V: it has for vocation, traffic in correspondence and the long haul.2 - Primary network (traffic > 0.5 MPax): this network consists of large consolidated tourist airports (traffic > 0.8 MPax) including Marrakech, Agadir, Fez and airports airports in various vocations such as Tangier airport Rabat airport, the airport in Nador and Oujda airport;3 - Secondary network (traffic < 0.5 MPax): this network consists of airports of Laayoune, Ouerzazate, Dakhla, Essaouira, Al Hoceima, Goulimine, Tan Tan, Errachidia, Tétouan, Beni Mellal, Belcher and Zagora. These airports have a vocation of public interest and inter-territorialite. The Ministry of equipment, Transport and logistics boasts an airport master plan based on a short, medium and long term intervention program that will be implemented with the aim of increasing the capacities of some airports, transfers other airports to more appropriate sites and modernize the equipment of all open to public air traffic airports taking account of safety and security requirements.Development of airport facilities projects are intended to increase airport capacity of 24 million passengers currently to 90 million by the year 2035 and meet the sustained demand for traffic that will increase 17.3 MPax currently to 70 MPax in 2035 in satisfying the requirements of the standards of international bodies (ICAO) in security and safety matters and also permitting the processing of passengers and users in general in a good level quality of service.
